Why did you join tennis?

“I joined tennis because it was a sport that I enjoyed playing and I also wanted to be more involved in high school.”

How has tennis impacted your life?

“Tennis has really taught me about teamwork and always having [a positive mindset].”

How long have you been playing tennis?

“I have been playing tennis for five years.”

If you could meet any professional tennis player, who would it be and why?

“I would choose Serena Williams because I [enjoy watching] her play.” 

If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?

“I would pick teleportation because it takes too long to get from [one place to another].”

What have you learned leading your team as captain?

“As captain, I have learned that communication is really important and supporting your teammates is key to having a [successful season].”

What is your most memorable achievement in tennis?

“My most memorable achievement was in freshman year, I was league most valuable player and went to CIF with two of my other teammates.”

How do you balance tennis with schoolwork and other extracurriculars?

“I try to [do as much] homework [as I can] during school because I have practice right after school.”

If you were an animal, what would it be, and why?

“I would be a zebra because it is my favorite animal and I love its patterns.”

If you were to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

“I would choose sushi because I like eating raw fish.”

What is your favorite thing about tennis?

“[I love] the feeling of winning and competing with others.”

How long have you been playing tennis for? 

“I have been playing tennis for about four years.”

What have you learned about being captain?

“Being captain has taught me to be more responsible and [communicate] with others better.”

What is your favorite song?

“It would have to be Motivation by Normani.”

Would you rather be 10 inches tall or 10 feet tall?

“I would rather be 10 feet tall because it would be easier and faster [to travel] to places.”

What have you learned about being a team captain?

“I have learned to be more responsible and to work with a team because each position matters.”

How did volleyball impact your life?

“Volleyball has impacted my life [positively] because it has always been something I was good at and has always helped me get through the day [since] it was something I looked forward to [doing].”

Have you faced any obstacles in the years you were in volleyball?

“I faced a lot of mental obstacles, but this year was a lot smoother for me [because] it is my senior year and I am trying to make the best out of it.”

If you could have any animal as your pet, what would it be?

“I would have a pig because they are so cute.”

What is your go-to comfort food?

“I would say my go-to comfort food is chips.”

What do you like most about volleyball?

“The best thing about volleyball is, the chance to make new friends. It has also helped me build my leadership skills because as the captain of this year, it helped me realize what I had to improve on to help my teammates succeed.” 

Describe your team in one word.

“Passionate.”

How long have you been playing this sport?

“I have been playing volleyball since sixth grade.”

Would you rather win $10 million or find your soulmate? Why?

“I would rather find my soulmate because I think it is more important to find love instead of [something artificial like money].”

What is your favorite memory at Wilson?

“My favorite memory is when I first came to Wilson and met new people, since I came from Newton and not many of my classmates from Newton transferred to Wilson.

Why did you join volleyball?

“I joined volleyball because I played in middle school and thought it was really fun, so I wanted to continue [this passion] in high school.” 

Describe your team in one word.

“Hardworking.”

How long have you been playing this sport?

“This is my fifth year playing volleyball.”

Who is your biggest inspiration?

“I would say my biggest inspiration is Morgan Hentz because she is extremely good and plays as libero for Stanford.”

If you could have any animal as your pet, what would it be?

“If I were to have a pet, I would want a skunk because their faces are so cute.”

Cross Country

What do you like the most about cross country?

“I like that we get to run every day.”

What is the most important factor of being captain?

“I have learned that being captain requires having a lot of responsibility.”

Are there any obstacles you came across during your years in cross country?

“I had two injuries since this is my first year in cross country.”

Would you rather be 10 inches tall or 10 feet tall?

“I would be 10 inches tall.”

Is the earth round?

“The earth is round.”

Why did you join cross country?

“I joined cross country because I ran in elementary [school] but did not get the opportunity to run in middle school, so I decided to try it out in high school.”

If you can teach any lesson to the new runners what would it be?

“I would teach them that a lot of racing strategies come with a lot of experience.”

Do you have any pregame superstitions?

“I try to go to bed at a certain time and always have to eat the same meal for dinner, breakfast and lunch.”

Is water wet?

“No.”

Would you rather win $10 million or find your soulmate?

“I would rather have $10 million dollars.”

Football

How has this sport impacted your life?

“Joining football has completely changed me as a person. Joining this sport has helped me make so many lifelong friends and even helped me learn a lot about life.”

Have you accomplished the goals you set in this sport?

“My long-time goal in football was to score a touchdown. Since I am a lineman it is almost impossible to score a touchdown unless I recovered a fumble, but unfortunately I did not accomplish my goal of scoring a touchdown, although I was close to getting a pick 6.” 

Did you intend to be captain?

“I had always hoped to be a captain since it was my senior year and I wanted to get my full senior year experience for my teammates.”

What is your favorite memory at Wilson?

“My favorite memory at Wilson was spending time with all my friends and the football team.”

What does your ideal weekend sound like?

“My ideal weekend depends on how I am feeling. Sometimes, I feel like getting a lot of work done at home, and other times I want to get out into the world and go on an adventure.”

What is your favorite part of football?

“My favorite part of football is all the memories that I made with the team.”

How has the team changed since you first changed?

“The team became more of a family this year.”

You are on vacation on a tropical island. What 3 items do you bring?

“Three items I would bring with me on a tropical island are food, a boat, and my phone.”

If you could travel to any time what would it be?

“I would go back to when I was 5 years old.”

What is your favorite thing about water polo?

“My favorite thing about water polo is the physical contact and being able to show off our skills.”

Why did you join water polo?

“I joined water polo because during freshman year, my brother, who was a junior, was playing and it seemed fun.”

Have you accomplished the goals you set in this sport?

“For the most part, yes.”

What is your favorite memory at Wilson?

“My favorite memory is when my coach jumped into the pool on senior night last year.”

Would you rather win $10 million or find your soulmate? Why?

“I would rather find my soulmate because it is a once in a lifetime experience that you get to meet someone [that was meant to be with you].”.”

Why did you join golf?

“I have been playing golf for years before I joined high school, so it seemed natural to continue playing.”

How has golf impacted your life?

“Golf has taught me how to manage my stress a lot better.” 

How many years have you been playing golf?

“Including highschool, about seven years.”

Who do you look up to or is your biggest inspiration?

“I look up to my golf coach out of school who has taught me a lot so far.”

Do you like pineapple on your pizza?

“No.”

What is your favorite thing about golf?

“My favorite thing about golf is our practices and our bonding times because the team is what makes golf fun.”

Have you accomplished the goals you set in this sport?

“This year the majority of our team was new, [so our goa]l was just to win more games [compared to other] years. We accomplished this goal since three of us made it into the finals and one of our players also made it into CIF.”

What drives you to become better?

“My teammates help me become better because they are all very supportive.”

If you could pick a superpower, what would you choose?

“I would choose superintelligence, so school would be super easy and I can just chill all day.” 

Who do you look up to or is your biggest inspiration?

“My biggest inspiration is my mom because of how hard she works and it drives me to work as hard as her.”
