How would you say cross country impacts you as a student?

“Cross country teaches me how to manage my time, [balance] practice with school work, and to [work as hard as I can].”

What are your goals in cross country?

“My goals are to motivate my team, win league and go to CIF.”

What responsibilities do you uphold as a team captain?

“I set an example for my team by [always attending practices] and working hard. It [encourages]  new runners to work just as hard.”

Blue or red?

“Blue, because it is a [cooler] color.”

Would you rather go bald or have a mohawk?

“I would rather get a mohawk, because I had one in middle school.”

How do you balance two sports at once?

“Time management, and I stay on the same schedule everyday.”

How many miles a week does cross country typically cover?

“We usually cover 35-40 miles a week. It is very hard and we train every single day to strengthen our abilities for the races, [especially] in League.”

Kittens or puppies?

“Frogs.”

What is your favorite season and why?

“My favorite season is summer, because I love to go swimming in the heat.”

What are some accomplishments you made in cross country over the years?

“I have overcome many injuries and health issues, so I feel a lot healthier and stronger this season.”

Do you find it doable to take honors and AP level courses while doing additional activities?

“Yes, you just have to have good time management.”

What extracurriculars are you involved with besides cross country, and would you say this affects your time management?

“I work at an environmental laboratory with an internship, so it is stressful to do everything in one day, but you just have to [work through it].”

Would you rather have a piercing on your nose or on your lip?

“I would rather have one on my nose.”

If you had to choose any fall sport besides cross country, what would it be?

“I would pick volleyball.”

How would you say cross country affects you as a student?

“I would say that it has taught me how to have good time management skills.”

Would you say cross country is fun, and how so?

“Yes, because the family [of the] sport you are [working] with makes it a lot better.”

What are some accomplishments you made in cross country?

“I ran with varsity my freshman year, and still do today.”

What is your favorite music genre?

“I would have to say general pop, only because I forgot the name of the other genres.”

If you could live anywhere else in the world, where would it be and why?

“France, because I like the language.”

What advice would you give to anyone interested in joining cross country?

“Be dedicated, and have fun!”

What do you enjoy most about cross country?

“I enjoy the team’s energy, because it is always very positive. I also like that it relieves my stress.”

What responsibilities do you uphold as a team captain?

“I need to make sure the team is [executing] their drills properly, as well as listening to the coaches.”

If you had to choose any other fall sport besides cross country what would it be?

“Tennis, because I always want to try something new.”

What is your favorite season and why?

“My favorite season is fall, because I look forward to cross country.”

“My goal for cross country is to make it into CIF, and hopefully win League.”

How do you balance two sports at once?

“It teaches me good time management.”

“Yes I think it is doable, with good time management.”

What is your opinion on velcro?

“Velcro can be very helpful, especially if you do not want to or know how to tie your shoes.”

Kittens or puppies?

“Puppies, because [they are so cute]!”

“Blue, because it is a much better color than red.”
