On Monday, Oct. 14, girls’ volleyball fell to San Dimas HS with a score of 23-25.
The match marked the team’s last game of the season and “Senior Night” which honored graduating seniors.
According to captain Demi Corella (12), a positive mindset is vital to a player’s success.
“A good mindset before a game [is] being confident and being mentally ready [for] everything,” Corella said. “On the court, [it is] good to know your worth and [to trust] your teammates and to know to just have fun.”
In addition, middle blocker Isabella Hernandez (10) stated that the team became determined to play to their utmost potential for their last game of the season.
“We knew how San Dimas would play because [they] are number one in our league,” Hernandez said. “[Thus,] we knew we had to fight [to win the game.]”
Overall, defensive specialist and setter Alisa de la Rosa (10) believes the team concluded the season well.
“Even though we lost, this is a good way to end the season,” de la Rosa said. “San Dimas is one of our biggest competitors and the close score [is evidence of] the fight we put up.”
This was the last game of the season for girl’s volleyball.
