“Hailey Bieber better keep an eye out for Selener!”
Selena Gomez has been at the forefront of the public eye because of Hailey Bieber, after an old drama resurfaced. All this conflict between Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey and Selena resurfaced on Feb. 22 when it was thought that the issues between them were resolved. Especially after Hailey went on “Call Her Daddy” and said it’s “all love” between her and Gomez, and even after having a shared hug at the Academy Museum Gala in October 2022.
At her big age, why does Hailey seem to always bring up the drama between her and Gomez? Though she has remained silent on the subject, it is clear that she harbors a personal grudge that she cannot seem to get over.
That clearly seemed to be the case after Gomez posted a Tik Tok about her eyebrows being too laminated. Gomez then shared a simple story on social media explaining how she accidentally laminated her eyebrows too much. Just three hours after she posted that Tiktok, Kylie Jenner shot back with an Instagram story with a picture of her with the caption “this was a mistake” typed onto her eyebrows. A picture of her and Hailey Bieber over Facetime with their eyebrows both in the picture followed suit, which was when many fans started to notice that this may not have been such a strange coincidence.
In a Tik Tok where Tik Tok creator Nuha (@deveotedly.yours) shared her take on the situation, Kylie defended herself in the comments saying.
“This is reaching. No shade towards Selena ever and I didn’t see her eyebrows post! You guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly” said Jenner
What followed along with their extreme pettiness was videos on Tik Tok of many fans explaining the drama and how unnecessary it is. Not only are fans of Gomez team Selena, but so is Justin Bieber’s little sister Allie Bieber. She posted a TikTok including multiple pictures of her with Gomez with a song of hers playing in the background. Fans are wondering things like why is Hailey still causing drama with Gomez, or even suggesting that Hailey only creates this drama to keep her relevant. After all, this wasn’t the first time Hailey may have posted something that seemed to be targeted at Selena.
Many of Hailey’s posts in the past have seemed to be a secret message to Gomez. After the release of Gomez’s hit single “Lose You to Love Me”, which was a breakup song for her past relationship with Bieber, Hailey posted on her story a screenshot of her listening to “I’ll Kill You” by Summer Walker. Fans speculated this was a dig at Gomez, but Hailey said it had nothing to do with Selena. She does seem to be saying that a lot even after posting another Tik Tok that may have also been a dig at Gomez. She posted a Tik Tok alongside Kendall Jenner and Justine Skye lip-syncing audio that said “I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right”. Which coincidentally was around the time Gomez was getting body shamed on social media. Not only does Hailey always coincidentally make videos or comments on whatever Selena does, but she also seems to want to be her. Hailey is almost in her 30s, why does she feel the need to always create this drama? Gomez is already in her 30s and knows not to give any of this drama light, why can’t Hailey do the same?
It is well known that Gomez and Justin Bieber were in an on-and-off relationship between 2010 and 2018. Until Justin got married to Hailey just six months after his last time with Gomez. Which creates an understanding as to why Hailey would have this drama with Gomez who does not need the drama at all. It is even believed that Hailey continuously tries to copy Gomez in numerous ways. From house tour videos to responses to questions during interviews. In a series of different videos fans of Gomez’s have noticed that Hailey seems to want to be like Gomez. I mean who wouldn’t, Gomez is a great person to look up to. She has copied her in multiple interviews, videos, fashion sense, etc. Hailey is heard saying the same thing or even having a similar style to Gomez. In a radio show interview, Gomez mentioned how Britney Spears was the first concert she had ever been to, and the first CD she had bought. Years later Hailey is heard saying the exact same thing. That doesn’t seem like such a coincidence to me. How could Hailey have so much against Gomez, but still want to be like her?
Even through all this unnecessary drama Gomez continuously stays a strong woman who knows not to let words get to her. Just after her feud with Jenner and Hailey, she became the most followed person on Instagram with a following of 395 million followers. Gomez stayed winning, but for Hailey, she seemed to lose followers. Why does Gomez need all this drama? She has one of the most successful makeup brands and always spreads positivity. She has been through some of the toughest battles, from struggling with her mental health to multiple medical issues. She is an amazing woman. #TeamSelena.
