“During the Lunch rally, I was enjoying myself watching the rally especially when they sprayed us with water because I was sweating from the heat.”

“Yes, I did participate in all of the week’s themes.”

“I loved the jersey spirit day because it allowed me to wear the jerseys that I do not get to wear.”

How did the Spirit week and events make you feel?

“The spirit week and the events made me super excited about Friday’s game.”

Do you think it helped to boost school spirit?

“It definitely helped boost school spirit I felt like we were cheering 10 times louder than Los Altos.”

“My favorite was probably the matching Monday, my picture with my team got posted on Instagram.”

How did the Spirit week and events make you feel?

“The spirit week made me feel happy and it really brought out my school spirit.”

How would you make it even better?

“I would do more events like this so students can participate more often. I did not attend the lunch events.”

“My favorite was twin day because it was fun to plan it out with my friend!”

“I was a little sad it was my last beat LA spirit week but overall it was really nice to make some last fun memories with my friends.”

“Honestly, it got me into the spirit of enjoying my senior year.”

How would you make it even better?

“I and my friends were talking about how the themes should be current trends. So for example, a decade theme, a “little miss/Mr” theme, or an “anything but a” theme. Themes like this would have been funny and creative!”

“The lunch events were fun! My friends and I got to take some spirit day pictures that we can keep forever!”

“My favorite theme day was “Clown the Conqueror’s” day, where we wore Los Altos Colors because I thought it was a funny and creative spirit day.!”

How did the Spirit week and events make you feel?

“The spirit week and events made me excited to be at school every day, and I had so much fun taking pictures with friends in front of the Beat LA backdrop.”

Do you think it helped to boost school spirit?

“I definitely think that the spirit week and activities helped to boost school spirit, I saw a lot of people excited to go to the spirit tables every day to get their spirit points.”

How would you make it even better?

“I would make spirit week even better by encouraging all teachers and staff to participate, and to help hype up the students that do participate.”

Did you have fun during the lunch events? If so, how?

“I had so much fun during the lunch events, especially getting to MC for the end of the week Beat LA rally and helping to put together an amazing rally!”

“I participated in most of the spirit days. I did not have anyone to twin with on Monday, but for the rest of the week I participated.”

“My favorite theme was jersey day because I and the dance team got to wear our new team jackets.”

“The spirit week and events made me feel competitive with the whole Beat LA thing and the class points, too.”

“I think that the competitiveness did help boost school spirit in everyone by making everyone feel more connected and more riled up and excited for the game.”

Which theme day was your favorite day?

“My favorite day would have to be Clown the Conquerors Thursday. It was really fun to see everyone’s creative side to their interpretation of the theme and there was just so much you could do outfit and makeup wise with the day.”

How did the Spirit week and events make you feel?

“Spirit week made me so happy and so excited for the rest of the year’s spirit weeks and events to come!”

Do you think it helped to boost school spirit?

“Yes, as the week progressed I saw more students get more comfortable in participating, and by Friday we had more spirit from students than I have ever seen!”

How would you make it even better?

“To improve spirit week, I believe it could be beneficial to show one student/ group of students from each grade who was/were the most spirited to earn their class more spirit points.”

Did you have fun during the lunch rally? If so, how?

“I had a lot of fun during the lunch rally on Friday. Getting to see the football team rallied up and ready for the game was fun, and seeing involvement from all the students who participated was super fun as well.”

“I believe that if you make others feel more included by encouraging participation, it gets everyone to feel good about themselves and makes it more fun.”

“I would make the spirit week better by encouraging participation.”

“I had fun during the lunch rally because everyone was excited about the Glen A. Wilson vs. Los Altos football game.”

“Yup! It was definitely good to see sophomores participating a lot more than we did last year as freshmen, even beating the juniors for some of the days.”

How would you make it even better?

“The only thing I would do is encourage more people to support our school and participate in our next spirit week!”

“It felt great to do something related to school spirit since we have only started school recently.”

“For the Beat LA Spirit Week, I dressed in Red and Blue to clown the conquerors and wore Cardinal and Gold to show wildcat pride.”

“My favorite day would probably have to be Matching Monday, I saw some of my friends wearing white t-shirts and black shorts and it was pretty cool. ”

How did the Spirit week and events make you feel?

“The Spirit weeks seem fun, they make a lot of people more social and encourage others to join in on the events. ”

Did you have fun during the lunch rally? If so, how?

“The rally was awesome, it was so hot that day but seeing my friends try to play a game was pretty funny, and the entire day was just very colorful overall.”

Do you think it helped to boost school spirit?

“Ultimately, I would say spirit weeks are a great way to increase school spirit and encourage others to join in on the fun.”

“I did not participate in all the week’s themes. I do not own a sports jersey and I did not match up with someone.”

Which theme day was your favorite day?

“My favorite day was Thursday, clowning the conquerors. My favorites were the people who had face paint on or any type of accessories.”

How did the Spirit week and events make you feel?

“I feel the events connect the students a bit more, especially if you match with someone you know.

The event brought students together. I overheard students in my classes talking about what they would do each day, and they made friendships from that small talk. ”

Did you have fun during the lunch rally? If so, how?

“I didn’t go to the lunch events, but I did hear the cheers from across the school. It certainly made the campus feel like we were in this together.”

“No, I did not participate in all the week’s themes. I missed Friday’s theme.”

How did the Spirit week and events make you feel?

“So far, I think spirit weeks and events are doing alright so far, but I also hope it can get a little crazier because I am a cosplayer so I hope something like that could happen!”

Did you have fun during the lunch rally? If so, how?

“I did not go to the lunch rally just because I would rather eat my lunch where I have space, although I did go to the rally the last few minutes of lunch and I feel like it can be more fun in the future.”

How would you make it even better?

“As I said, I think it could be better by making it a bit crazier and more fun.”

“Spirit week and the events are just kinds of normal, but the lunch rally on Friday was pretty entertaining.!”

Did you have fun during the lunch rally? If so, how?

“ The lunch rally was fun because I got to watch people put on a show. It was unexpected, but I guess that is what makes it entertaining.”

How would you make it even better?

“ I would make spirit week better by putting a sort of reward at the end of it. Similarly to how at the 8th-grade orientation they gave away free stuff.”

Do you think it helped to boost school spirit?

“ I think that it slightly helped boost school spirit, but since it did not do anything for the freshmen class’ school spirit, I am not sure.”

“ My favorite theme day was twin day because I got to talk with my friends about what to wear.”

“I do think it could have been better if it was hyped up or announced more because I did not hear much about school spirit that week, at sometimes I did not even see students in my year participate..”

“I just happened to be busy at the time and could not make it, but I still wish I could have gone to this amazing event.”
