Who will you be spending homecoming with?

“I will be spending homecoming with my friends and my boyfriend, Jake.”

Describe being on homecoming court in one word.


What makes you stand out from the rest of the court?

“I am not on the court to win, [only] to enjoy the festivities that come with being on it. It is an honor to be selected, and I look forward to celebrating my years of high school in this moment.”

What is your go-to pair of shoes?

“Definitely my Air Force One’s and Doc Martens.”

Is cereal a soup?

“I will allow cereal to be a soup. Let milk be the broth.”

After being nominated, is there anyone you would like to thank?

“There are so many! I want to thank my sister and my dad for always being my number one supporters. I also want to thank my closest friends for making me laugh until my stomach hurts and also being there when I cry my eyes out. [Lastly], my teachers and older advisors for not only teaching me school subjects but also inspiring me to work hard on my goals.”

What do you look forward most to for homecoming?

“I look forward to making lasting, fun memories with my friends and date. My last homecoming! I am tearing up just thinking about it.”

What is your favorite memory of high school so far?

“My favorite memory is definitely making skits in Chinese class [during] my freshmen and sophomore year. I went through two years with [friends and] Ms. Wann was also a very fun teacher to have.”

If you could have any exotic pet, what would it be?

“[I would] probably [have] an elephant. They are one of the most intelligent animals in the world, and I would love to teach it tricks and feed it peanuts and watermelon every day. I [would] name [it] Taco.

What is your favorite academic subject?

“[It is] definitely math. Even though it makes me cry and want to throw myself out of the window, it has taught me the most about myself.”

How do you feel about this year’s homecoming theme?

“I love this year’s homecoming theme so much. I think that the Vegas idea is going to be really interactive and exciting because I love Vegas so much.”

“Oh no, I ran out of magnesium! 0mg!”

What makes you a good candidate for homecoming queen?

“I believe that I would make a good homecoming queen because I am very involved in school, and I love meeting unfamiliar faces at school.”

If you could have one new talent what would it be?

“I would love to have the ability to speak French. I love that language, but it is so hard and time-consuming to learn.”

What is one conspiracy theory you believe in?

“I believe aliens exist.”

How do you feel about homecoming and being selected for its court?

“I was so excited to see that I made the court, but the whole experience was amplified when I found out two of my close friends would be on the court with me. All clichés aside, it really is an honor to be nominated by the teachers, no matter the outcome.”

How has high school shaped you as a person?

“High school has not been easy, especially [through] distance learning, but the experience has definitely changed me for the better. I started high school with low self-esteem and a general lack of love for myself, yet now, I feel that I will be ending high school with a much better relationship with myself.”

Who inspires you?

“My mom inspires me the most. She has shown me what a mother and woman should look like in every way. She has also inspired me every day by getting through her anxiety to give me a fulfilled and blessed life.”

What is one thing you believe in wholeheartedly?

“I believe in passion wholeheartedly. I believe that everyone has at least one thing in their lives to make them want to make the most of each day. If they have not found it yet, they will at some point. I believe finding a passion for things over finding “the meaning of life” can lead to greater happiness and all-around contentment.”

What’s your favorite fast-food place?

“My favorite fast-food place is Chipotle.”

Why should the student body select you as their homecoming queen?

“I was surprised when I was nominated for homecoming court when they asked me if I wanted to join I thought ‘Yeah this sounds like a lot of fun”

What has been your favorite part of high school to this point in your senior year?

“My favorite part of senior year is that I am surrounded by people who enjoy dad jokes as much as me!”

What is something you want to improve about yourself?

“I find myself overthinking too much. However, I am lucky I have friends who remind me to relax and have fun.”

What is your favorite cereal?

“I do not eat cereal that much, but when I do, my favorite is either Froot Loops or Raisin Bran Crunch.”

What kind of music do you listen to motivate yourself?

“To be honest, I do not have specific music that motivates me. It just depends on what I feel like listening to.”

What in life makes you happiest?

“Experiencing God’s grace with my friends and family makes me the happiest.”

What has been your greatest high school experience?

“My greatest high school experience was beating Los Altos during my sophomore year basketball season. Hopefully, we [can] accomplish this feat again this year!”

If you could time travel to any time where would you go?

“I would go into the future and memorize the Powerball lottery numbers and then go back to the present and win the lottery.”

What is your coolest talent?

“My coolest talent is being able to make smoke come out of my mouth without any [aid]. Trust me, it is not suspicious. If you see me in person, I will show you!”

How do you destress?

“I relieve my stress by lifting weights or playing basketball.”

What is your favorite childhood memory?

“My favorite childhood memory is when I went to a Dodgers game with my friend and my dad.”

When you are feeling down, what is a food you turn to?

“When I am feeling down, I turn to Limon [flavored] Lays [chips] because they instantly make me feel better and are always a perfect pickup.”

What has been your favorite non-academic high school memory?

“My favorite nonacademic high school memory is my first varsity [football] tackle and how fun it was to celebrate with the team.”

What do you aspire to do after you are done with school?

“After school, I want to become a top-notch electrical engineer.”

How do you manage various responsibilities?

“I manage various responsibilities by giving each a set time to do it so that I always know what to do next, and I do not overwhelm myself. Although it does not always work, it has gotten me through high school so far.”

“I really do not know; I just want to have a good time.”

What do you enjoy doing outside of school?

“I enjoy working on my cars outside of school.”

What is your favorite video game of all time?

“My favorite video game of all time is Fortnite when everyone plays because of how it brings everyone together.”

“Seafood. There are so many options.”

What is something that makes your day no matter what?

“Something that makes my day no matter what is coming home and laying in bed after a long day.”

“The music and spending time with my girlfriend.”

Describe high school in one word.


Who inspires you?

“Someone who inspires me is my dad. He always sacrifices his time to work hard to provide for our family. On top of that, he is very selfless and loving. I owe my work ethic to him and if it were not for him, I would not be where I am today.”

What is the most memorable moment in your life to this point?

“The most memorable moment in my life to this point is when I was selected as the Varsity Tennis Captain my sophomore year. I did not think I would get captain as I was only an underclassman, but I was able to gain many opportunities because of it.”

What is a conspiracy theory you believe in?

“A conspiracy theory I believe in is aliens. The universe we live in is massive, and we have only explored a small fraction of what there is. I think that there are otherworldly creatures that live in a civilization far from ours somewhere in the universe.”

What is something that easily bothers you?

“Something that easily bothers me is when my family members do not close my door. They come into my room and open my door, but when they leave, they leave my door open.”
