Rani Chor (12)

What are your thoughts about being nominated for prom court?

“Honestly, I am so grateful to all my friends — especially those who shared my ‘Don’t be a booger, vote for Rani’ graphic on their stories. I am super excited, mostly because the crown is super shiny, albeit a bit heavy. It is honestly an amazing way to wrap up senior year.”

What is some advice you’d like to share with underclassmen?

“About college: know your angle. Everyone can take a billion random classes, but the ones who stand out are the ones who know what they are passionate about. Also, join IB and Paw Prints Weekly.”

Grace Jong (12)

“I will be spending prom with my wonderful boyfriend Ace Lee along with friends! Shout out to Miranda, Kevin and Jasmine!”

What is your favorite memory of high school?

“I do not think I have a favorite memory as any happy memory is already a favorite, but I will say the Battle of the Classes! I had so much fun in the freshman Battle of the Classes, so I wanted to do it again senior year since Covid-19, unfortunately, canceled the event for my sophomore and junior year. Our 12 A.M. practices in parking lots with friends and our winning dance are definitely one of my favorite memories.”

Zoe Ng (12)

What are your thoughts about being nominated to prom court?

“To be completely honest, I was surprised I had made it into prom court in the first place. I feel like most people romanticized the idea of being prom queen and king of their school but would not have the courage to run. A huge part of what pushed me to run was support from my friends which I am incredibly thankful for.”

What do you look forward to most about prom?

I look forward to having the best night ever with my group of friends. Most of the people in our group are from the dance team, so dance circles would be guaranteed. As well as prom, I look forward to the sleepover and afterparty with my group.”
