Girls’ golf looks to end their season on a high note

On Oct. 21, girls’ golf competed in a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) preliminary match.

Beatrice Sun (11), explains how proud she was of her team’s performance.

“I feel that our team played to their utmost potential, which is not easy, especially with how we all have to juggle golf with our school work quite often,” Sun said. “I am truly proud that everyone did as well as they did.”

Furthermore, Sun explains that there is still a lot to take away from the team’s mistakes.

“As the season progresses, I hope the team will be able to learn from our mistakes,” Sun said. “[Especially entering CIF play, it is important that] we can come back even stronger in every next game.”

Additionally, Erin Shin (10), explains how she plans to improve her game in the future.

“I plan to grow by practicing often and entering into additional golf tournaments to have a better chance at improving my skills in the future,” Shin said.

Moreover, Shin expresses some of the goals that she believes the team accomplished throughout the season.

“[We were] able to learn and take away valuable lessons from our games as well as apply what we learned in the future,” Shin said. “I believe we have the potential to do great in future seasons.”

Girls’ golf will continue to progress in their co-educational season with the boys’ golf team this winter and spring.
