In the final grading period of the school year, what would you say to your students to encourage them to push to the end?
“I would just tell them to make sure that all the assignments are turned in, and ask for help when needed. And of course, you need to study for whatever is needed.”
In your days as a high school student, how did you prepare for exams?
“Back then, they would give us a study guide and we just studied.”
Since summer is approaching, do you have any plans for summer yet?
“I am going to be teaching summer school at Workman High School.”
If you have a study session coming up, but you have to choose between bringing pencils or pens to study, which would you choose and why?
“I would choose pencils because if you make a mistake you can always erase it, but if you bring pens you will also need to bring white-outs.”

As an upperclassman, what is your study advice for underclassmen?
“My advice to any freshman, who is studying, is to always take breaks in between sessions of studying!”
As numerous exams approach, how are you managing the stress of studying?
“I deal with stress by watching movies or going on walks with some of my favorite playlist songs that I listen to!”
What does a day in your life look like during the final grading period of the year?
“My day-to-day life during the final grading period would be a bit stressed since it is usually around that time period that I try [to] maintain all my grades and focus on doing all my assignments.”
How would you describe the month of May in three words?
“I would describe my May as crazy, happy and tearful”

As final and Advanced Placement (AP) exams approach, what are you doing in preparation for these important exams?
“Absolutely nothing, if I wanted to be disowned. Currently, I have supplementary classes during the weekends spanning three hours for each session. I wish I [do not have to do this] but I’m Asian.”
What do you look forward to as the school year approaches the end?
“I look forward to the end of the school year.”
What is your advice for your fellow classmates during exam season?
“Good luck, have fun.”
If you could time travel back to freshman year, what would you do differently to better prepare for finals?
“I would say —actually study.”

Do you have any exams coming up, if yes, how are you preparing for them?
“Yes, I have four exams coming up next month. I am going back to old homework assignments and notes to practice old questions because it has been a while since [I] did those questions.”
The end of the school year is approaching, how would you sum up your year?
“My year has been good. I got the grades I wanted so far, learned new things and [I] made new friends as well.”
What do you look forward to in the last grading period of the school year?
“I am looking [forward to] having A’s and B’s by the end of the grading period of the school year.”
What is your favorite highlighter color and why?
“My favorite highlighter color is yellow because its brightness [makes it] easy to see through the highlighting.”

What is your goal during exam season?
“My main goal is probably to stay consistent with daily reviews all the way until the exams.”
Which subjects are you focusing on currently?
“I’m focusing on AP Psychology, AP World History, AP [English] Language and Composition, and AP Chinese.”
What are your plans for summer?
“I’m looking forward to getting enough sleep for once! And also just focusing on some personal projects and hobbies that I didn’t have time for during the school year.”
If you had the power to automatically receive a perfect score for only one exam, which exam would you choose and why?
“AP World History, no hesitation. I don’t dislike history, but at the same time, I never want to look at an image and analyze the historical context ever again.”

What is your favorite part of the school year and why?
“My favorite part of the school year was going to sporting events and rallies with friends. I really enjoyed going through the whole process of researching colleges and talking about our futures with friends.”
Nearing the end of this school year, is there anything in the upcoming school year that you are looking forward to?
“I look forward to senior sunrise, senior sunset, and especially grad bash!”
How do you plan to enjoy your summer?
“I plan on enjoying my summer by doing a couple of research opportunities and [attending] summer school as well. I also plan on visiting New York and colleges throughout California.”
If a curse was placed on you that you will fail one of your upcoming exams, but you can choose which exam to fail, which one would you choose and why?
“IB Spanish, it is my easiest class and I cannot afford to fail any other one of my classes.”
